The breakfast selection was impressive, featuring fresh organic products and cooked-to-order eggs. the room itself left much to be desired. cleanliness was an issue with cobwebs and an unclean toilet bowl noted. late-night noise from a disco impacted sleep quality, detracting from what could have been a pleasant family stay.

the staff were really welcoming and it was just a short walk to the breathtaking york minster and the historic city walls, making my weekend exploration effortless and enjoyable.

I found the breakfast at the hotel to be quite good, and the room was very clean and lovely and quiet and relaxing. plus, being just a few steps from the iconic Jorvik Viking Centre and Rowntree Park was fantastic for my city strolls.

Great stay in a fab location!

We had a fantastic time exploring the city. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help, especially with the wheelchair access for my wife. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made. Only downside was the bar area was a bit chilly, but overall, we enjoyed our 6 nights here!

However, a major disappointment was the confusion regarding parking. my car, which I had expected to remain in a specific area, was unexpectedly moved. Additionally, the family room setup was slightly inconvenient with the second bed occupying much-needed space, although it was resolved promptly upon request.

the hilton was perfect for our 3-night stay. it was just a 5-minute walk to the city centre, making it super convenient to explore. we were pleased with the valet parking option, even if it was a bit pricey at £30 per night. the standout for me was being able to open the window for some fresh air.
